P A S T O R

Pastor Craig Rinker, PhD STM Welcome to our website! Please review the parts of this cyber-location to see about us and about the related ministries of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, of which we are a member congregation.

I think of St Paul’s statement to the Corinthian congregation: (2 Cor. 5:14 & 15) “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for him who died for them and was raised again.” In another place he wrote (1 Cor. 2:2) “For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” And in another place (2 Cor. 5: 17- 21) “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin, to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

This is the message you will hear from us when you attend worship. We preach Christ crucified for the forgiveness of sins. We preach the new creation that we are in Christ. We preach reconciliation with God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We are a confessional church with a traditional service. As traditional Lutherans we claim the Scriptures to be the infallible written Word of God and our only norm for both faith and life. We express that the two chief teachings in the Bible are the Law of God and the Gospel of God. We find that the key to understanding the Scriptures and the central proclamation of the Scriptures is Jesus Christ. We profess that Christ alone is our only mediator between God and man and that He is the once for all sacrifice for all sin. We are saved through faith alone, without any merit or worthiness on our part. We find the abundant life Jesus offers by learning of Him as the only way to the Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

I am glad you are reviewing this website. I hope to meet you in person at worship and Bible class, which we offer each Sunday.

God bless you,
Pastor Craig Rinker
